Office of Innovations, Inventions and Intellectual Property
The Office of Innovations, Inventions and Intellectual Property for medical sciences is established under supervision of the Deputy of Research and Technology at Lorestan University of Medical Sciences with the aim of enhancing and utilizing the high potential of the university in order to apply the ideas and innovations developed by faculty members as well as researchers, the staff and elite students of the university. It aims to provide professors, elite students and researchers with the following facilities through advisory services and some practical follow-ups:
- Converting the feasible product-based researches into patent
- Reviewing research plans to identify and extract the potential applicable ideas and converting them into invention
- Scientific evaluation and judgment of ideas and inventions to issue the scientific approval certificate
- Following up the procedure to obtain the patent certificate from the Registration Office for Companies and Industrial Property
- Following up the procedure for obtaining scientific approval certificate from the reputable authorities across the country
- Following up the procedure for commercializing the patented inventions through acceleration centers of the university as well as through the Office for Relationship between Industry and University, in order to manufacture the product in selected factories
- Using the legal, scientific and economic advice and support of the office from the very beginning of idea registration until industrialization of the product
- Conducting introductory workshops for registering the innovations in the country as well as registering the patents abroad
