- Planning and organizing the affairs of the libraries, the Department of Scientometrics, and the Department of Medical Information and Health Technology, the Department of Publications, and finally the journals affiliated with LUMS
- Promoting and developing the departments affiliated with the Department of Medical Information and Scientific Sources
- Supervising and organizing scientometric workshops for faculty members and the staff of the departments
- Preparing and developing the bylaws and processes of using the databanks of the University databases
- Launching and updating the library applications and information system of the University
- Promoting the webometrics ranking of the University
- Developing the potential of searching for electronic databases in the libraries and information departments of the University
- Purchasing printed and electronic academic sources
- Highlighting the significance of libraries in the quantitative and qualitative development of users’ knowledge concerning their use of scientific databases
